Bobby Webster, MD
Dr. Webster joined the staff of A Woman's Center For Reproductive
Medicine in June 1998. Board certified in obstetrics and gynecology
as well as reproductive endocrinology and fertility, he was chosen
to develop and direct the area's first subspecialty certified and
staffed facility dedicated to the field of reproductive endocrinology
and infertility.
Our Louisiana fertility clinic serves patients from Baton Rouge, New Orleans, and the surrounding regions offering basic fertility diagnosis and treatment to the most advanced reproducitive techonlogies including IVF, PGD, blastocyst transfer, and many more.
Dr. Webster's undergraduate work was in pharmacy at Southwestern Oklahoma
State University. He later attended medical school at the University
of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. He completed a residency in
obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Kansas and had a private
practice in general obstetrics and gynecology for five years while
serving as the director of resident education and director of resident
research at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Wichita.
In June 1983 he applied and was accepted to Vanderbilt University
Medical School as a fellow in reproductive endocrinology and infertility.
Vanderbilt was one of the first five centers in the United States
offering In Vitro Fertilization as a treatment option for infertile
couples, thus placing Dr. Webster at the forefront of clinical care
and research in this area of medicine.
After two years of study at Vanderbilt, Dr. Webster returned to the
University of Kansas to establish the Center for Reproductive Medicine
and the Women's Research Institute, where he and his team were responsible
for the birth of the first "test tube baby" in Wichita. As he provided
clinical care and supervised and coordinated the work of five PhDs,
he advanced to the academic rank of full professor and served as division
director of reproductive endocrinology and infertility.
Dr. Webster is a member of numerous professional organizations, including
the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, the Society of Reproductive
Endocrinology and Infertility (membership limited to those board certified
