Overview of IVF Treatment Cost Discount

Women travel to our location for treatment because we have also established a reputation as a caring and compassionate provider of infertility services. A couple will never feel "like a number" in our fertility practice.

One of our goals is to help infertile couples manage the cost of fertility treatment. Our IVF treatment programs offer alternative payment options for patients undergoing IVF treatment. Both programs result in significant savings to patients who do not have insurance coverage and are likely to require multiple IVF cycles to achieve pregnancy. Patients who commit to multiple cycles have a much greater chance of a successful pregnancy and can achieve significant savings.

Multiple Cycle IVF Discount Program-Louisiana IVF Clinic- The Specifics

The "Multiple IVF Cycle" package was developed to offer financial capitation for those couples with less predictable chances for pregnancy than those able to qualify for the IVF Refund Program.  Realizing that more than one IVF attempt may be necessary to achieve pregnancy, we offer a package that offers substantial savings when compared to the individual standard fee for service price for a single IVF attempt. We must restrict this offer to qualifying couples in which the female is less than 45 years of age. 

All cycles must be completed within a twelve-month time frame including frozen embryo transfers. For a fixed and substantially reduced fee, couples will receive a guarantee of up to three IVF attempts. The major difference between this program and the "IVF Refund Program" is that there is no refund.

IVF Refund Program- The Specifics

The concept of an “IVF Refund Program” has been in place at selected centers for over ten years as an option for those patients without insurance coverage.  As more couples choose to undergo IVF as a means of achieving parenthood, more and more clinics are offering some variant of a promise to refund a sizeable portion of funds expended if pregnancy is not achieved in an agreed upon number of cycles.  It should be emphasized that this is not a guarantee of pregnancy, but rather a financial hedge against the failure of IVF in a very well defined and qualified patient population.

The program limits the amount of money couples put “at risk” in attempting pregnancy.  The cost of a pregnancy is higher should pregnancy be achieved in the first attempt.  In short, qualified couples pay the approximate cost of two cycles in advance for which they may complete three cycles in order to achieve pregnancy. In addition, the price includes all frozen cycles. Should pregnancy fail to be established after three cycles in a pre-qualified couple, a refund will be issued for a substantial amount of the original fee that was paid.  However, if pregnancy occurs in the first cycle, no refund will be given.

First and most important, it is mandatory that patients understand that a couple conceiving on the first cycle pays more if participating in this IVF Refund Program than if paying the standard fee for service.  That same couple ends up “breaking even” if they require a second cycle to conceive.  Should the couple need a third cycle to conceive, they will have saved money when compared to the traditional fee for service method of payment.
